Grounds Maintenance: Hedge Cutting
Lucas Landscapes offers two types of hedge cutting systems.
Hedge Cutter System
Lucas Landscapes would use this system to prune hedges which are located within the front or back gardens of domestic properties. This system is used to prune small ornamental hedges, conifers and large rural hedges. They are used to reduce height and width or just clipping, creating a neat and tidy form. Major re establishment of an overgrown hedge can be achieved and often we can prune hedges so clients can easily manage them in the future.
Out of control hedges can block out the daylight from neighbours' homes and gardens, becoming a real drain on their quality of life. Visit http://www.communities.gov.uk to read more about the legal situation in connection with hedges which are left unmanaged.
Flail System
This system is used for cutting up to 3 year growth leaving a clean finish with debris pulped back into the bottom of the hedge. Stray thorns on hard standing are brushed or blown back into the base of the hedge. This system is used by the local authorities to manage the hedgerows along the roadside.
