Winter Gritting - The Service
Lucas Landscapes works in conjunction with Shorts Truegrit, a nationwide organisation.
The Winter Gritting service consists of: -
- weather forecast monitoring using the Meteogroup
- automatic gritting service based on temperature, or
- authorisation calls prior to gritting
- late evening / night gritting to ease disruption
- gritting / salt spreading your roads, paths and car parks
- snow clearing
- salt / grit bin provision
We are also available 24 hours a day, seven days a week during the winter months.
The winter gritting service is flexible and therefore is personalised to your business; arrangements can be made such as structuring the areas covered so that less vulnerable areas are excluded or included as necessary on a day/nightly basis.
The management system means temperatures are automatically monitored on your behalf using the Meteogroup. When freezing temperatures are forecast, the areas which are covered by the gritting agreement will be gritted, whether your arrangement is for an automatic response based on temperature or whether you have requested to be contacted first.
As indicated the gritting is carried out during the late evening and nighttime so no disruption is caused, this is very much like your local council who make the major routes safe for you to travel on.
